Dedicated in loving memory of Glen Alyn, author of Texas Blue‘s legend Mance Lipscomb‘s oral autobiography, ”I Say Me for a Parable.“ Alan Glenn Myers, who wrote and performed as Glen Alyn, was born on May 24, 1947 and died on June 4, 2000. He was killed in a truck accident during a heavy rainstorm with his 19 year-old daughter Sequoia Myers. Glen was a musician, poet, author, songwriter, organic gardener & composter, grower of Giant Tomato stalks, freelance journalist, and a weed puller seeking street-corner redemption with a guitar, harmonica, Jew‘s harp and an occasional tin cup. He was present in the recording studio for every session of Ride the Blind. He plays harmonica on 7 of the tracks. He will be missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and fans for his sense of humor, his tenacious and loving spirit, and his adventurer‘s soul. His 53 year journey has ended. But his work will live on.
